About Idaho Families with Children from Asia
In 1994, a group of families founded IFCA, organizing events and activities for their Asian adopted children to provide a social, as well as cultural network of Asian-adoptive families throughout Idaho. Today, our members include both waiting families, as well as families who have adopted children from Asian countries. Most of our members have adopted from China, Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia, or Thailand. Our children are between the ages of 8 months through teen years. Would you like to join IFCA? Mission Statement
Idaho Families with Children from Asia (IFCA) is a not-for-profit organization that provides social and educational support to families who are in the process of, or have adopted children from Asia. Our mission is to provide a loving community that nurtures the adoption and parenting of children from Asia. We celebrate our cultural and racial differences to help one another fully integrate into our families the diverse roots and cultures from which we and our children come. We do this so our children may reach adulthood knowledgeable and proud of who they are, with the fullest sense of their place in the world and the contributions they are destined to make.
